 Title : Generative AI in Naver Webtoon

 Abstract : 최근 생성형 AI (generative AI) 방법이 빠른 속도로 발전하고 있으며, 산업계에서도 해당 기술을 연구/개발하거나 프로덕트에 접목시키는 사례가 늘어나고 있습니다.

이에 발 맞추어, 스토리테크 플랫폼을 표방하는 네이버웹툰 또한 창작 프로세스 혁신과 독자들의 재미요소를 추구하기 위하여 다양한 생성 모델을 연구하고 있습니다.

본 발표에서는 네이버웹툰에서 진행하는 생성형 AI 모델 연구와 프로덕트 두가지를 (웹툰미, 배경변환)를 소개하고, 최근 생성형 AI 모델의 연구 동향에 대하여 알아보고자 합니다.

 Bio : Namhyuk Ahn is an AI researcher at NAVER WEBTOON, specializing in computer vision with a focus on image generation tasks. He obtained my Ph.D. from Ajou University under the guidance of Prof. Kyung-Ah Sohn, where he primarily worked on image enhancement and restoration projects, including image super-resolution. Currently, his research interests lie in developing user-friendly content creation tools by generating, translating, or manipulating images based on user-guided information.
